What do I need to take my pet to the EU?

Your pet must be microchipped,

They must be vaccinated against Rabies and it must be at least 21 days since the primary vaccination,

An Animal Health Certificate must be issued within 10 days of travel or a valid EU pet Passport,

Tapeworm treatment must be given between 24 and 120 hours of travel if you are travelling to Northern Ireland, Ireland, Finland, Norway or Malta.
What is an Animal Health Certificate?
An Animal Health Certificate is a single use document that allows entry into the EU, as well as onwards travel within the EU, Norway and Switzerland for up to 4 months and includes the return to the UK.
It is only used for dogs, cats and ferrets. You will need a new certificate each time you travel. The Animal Health Certificate is the replacement for the previously used pet passports.
How do I make the payment?
Payment is made through bank transfer and must be completed before the certificate is handed over. No deposit needed.
Who needs to be present for the animal health certificate appointment?
The owner or the nominated person who will travel with the pet must be present at the appointment to sign a declaration in order to complete the certificate.
